How To Treat Pimple marks?

I Have a dull skin that is prone to Pimples amd pimple marks.so i use a 3%glycolic acid facewash for my pimples and marks while a vitamin c based lotion to get a more luminous complexion. but i came to kno that vit c and glycolic acid(or AHA) shouldnt be used together. is it true?if so then what should i do?As far as my diet is concerned i take very healthy diet and i have lots of water too.But nothing really seems to work.SO PLEASE HELP
